Company History
Plumbfix were formed as a bathroom fitting company in April 2002 by Andrew Cowell, our first advert was in the local paper and cost £15. In 2003 Paul Wenham joined and we worked on bathroom refits and general plumbing jobs.
As Plumbfix grew we decided we needed a proper office and took the oportunity to purchase a small shop and office in Sittingbourne, Kent in May 2006. At this time we employed a further two shop staff and two more fitting staff.
Our First shop we opened in Sittingbourne
As of July 2009 Plumbfix employed 12 staff and we decided to leave Sittingbourne to move to a much larger location in Gillingham. At the same time our fitting service was dissolved to allow us to concentrate on the retail side of the business. As per the trend of our company though we quickly outgrew the Gillingham location and decided it was time to purchase somewhere large enough to hold the business for the next 15-20 years. This was why from the 1st February 2010 we became the proud owners of Morris and Turner Bathroom & Fireplace Showroom, a 3 floor building and warehouse in Third Avenue, Chatham, Kent. It is at this location that both businesses will eventually be amalginated in to one building.
For the mean time though it means Plumbfix can offer from our two locations plumbing, heating, bathrooms, fires and much more. Plus with the extra space we have gained we can now buy in even better deals and pass more savings on to our customers.
Thank You for reading our company history and we hope to hear from you soon.
